Just watched the Champions League draw and couldn’t believe that the UEFA player awards were dominated by……………….Chelsea!!! Yes that free-flowing football giant that swept all before them on their way to being London’s first European Cup winners………….WAIT. That’s not what happened!!!!
Petr Cech was named club keeper of the year. How? Why? Was it on the back of the penalty saves he made in the final in Moscow?
And then there was ‘hero’, ‘JT’, the BNP card carrying shithouse of a man. How did he get voted defender of the year? He isn’t even the best defender at his club. Fucking overrated cunt of a man. How does winning a few headers and screaming at his teammates and arguing with the ref make you the best? Very one-paced and a dirty fucker. In the final he even blew a snot-rag on Tevez. When he is isn’t protected by one (and sometimes two) defensive midfielders and without Carvlaho, he is found out. Look at international level. Look at Baros’ goal the other week!!!!!!!
And of course everyone’s favourite ring kissing, skywards looking overrated greedy fucker, yes the man who made deflections an art form. Fat Frank was voted best midfielder. Now I can see the strengths he has a footballer. The ability to neglect defensive duties as he has someone (normally Makelele) doing his running and tracking back. Why did he get the vote? His excellent reading of defensive situations? His amazing tackling ability? His passing range? His dribbling ability? His ability to dictate a game? WHAT THEN?
I would love to see Fabregas given the freedom Lumpard is given at Chelsea. The lad would score 40 goals a season.
