Instead, Nick top scores with 18, Defoe, Lennon and new boy Ashley Cole doing the damage. If Nick does go on to win, there should be a bottle of whisky in it for Theo. James had a calamitous week, scoring -1. 'That bloody Spurs defence again,' he'll say, quite rightly. In Mike's case, only 5 points scored, but Keane should be back next week.
The scores:

Transfers
2 transfers to report, both from the leader:
Out goes Ballack, finally, and in comes Jermaine Jenas (beating off bids from Sid and your humble Chairman).
Also out goes Defoe after his mild heroics on Sunday, and in comes Leroy Lita. Turning the screw, as they say.
FA Cup this week. Nick's got 5 players left in it and Mike 6. The destiny of the 12th Dwight Yorke Cup still hangs in the balance.

Well done Nick. Its in the bag now. Who would have thought that Ashley would win it for you eh?
Another new name to be etched on the trophy. And there's me thinking it was going to be the initials JN!
They will be, but JN will stand for Jammy-Nick...
Congrats re goumbare, an excellent season.
Mike - that kind of shit won't rub. 14 points is nothing, as I remember all too clearly. I think Nick's midfield is slightly superior, with defence and forward line now fairly even too. If Rooney gets going towards the end, you could nick it. I fear James's challenge is over though. Defence is too weak and the midfield is underperforming. Adebayor's ban didn't help either.
Am I recalling correctly that second place pays £100 this season?
Oh, and Nick's midfield is 'slightly superior'? Try the words 'head and shoulders' or 'vastly' - they are more appropriate and a truer refelction.
Can't remember the money split. Anyone?
I think it was £200 for 1st, £50 for 2nd and £50 for 5th.
Yep, I'll go with that Nick!
If anyone is interested (a bit of own trumpet blowing here) the Brotherhood United website's focus is on yours truly this week. What do you reckon?

It's like that section in Metro. Although I take issue with 'One can make mistakes and learn from them but one should never have regrets.' Are you telling me you don't regret buying Petrov & Aurelio or selling Martins?
Regret is what drives you to make changes next time. I love regret. The only thing I don't regret is regretting things as much as I do.
I regret sending that last post.
i've had a few...
It was nailed on that sonofabaker would come out with that repsonse!!!
Petrov and Aurelio were mistakes. At the time they were calculated decisions. It's my fault. Regret doesn't come into. Its done. I've moved on.
