Judging by the dearth of comments, no one really cares much for an update anyway. Let's face it - we all sense a creeping futility in the universe of FFL. With time running out, the lead seems to be getting stretched every week.
It's interesting to note, though, that James's lead of 31 points almost corresponds to the contribution made by his last 3 subs - Leighton Baines, Matt Taylor and Adebayor - who have scored 32 points since bought. They alone scored 14 points between them last weekend. And that's where this game is either won or lost.
The table:
FFL 2008/09 LEAGUE TABLE | |||
Diff | Total Points | ||
1st | James | 342 | |
31 | 2nd | Nick PC | 311 |
31 | 3rd | Don | 311 |
38 | 4th | Theo | 304 |
39 | 5th | Stathi | 303 |
40 | 6th | Mike | 302 |
42 | 7th | Sid | 300 |
64 | 8th | Nick Ath | 278 |
No transfers to report.

Picking up the observations made by the right honourable scoremaster in that this year's FFL has decended into a meaningless and dull contest, I propose a motion on behalf of my fellow ex-champions to expunge this year's tournament from the records and start planning for next year. Do I hear a seconder?
Seconded. Article 12, Law 3.1 of the FFL Constitution clearly states;
"Throughout the course of the season, should the status quo, harmony and normal protocols of the FFL Constitution be breached by an individual in an unfamiliar and elevated position, then The Security Council, Cabinet and Steering Committe have autonomous power to act accordingly in the interests of all members to immediately disregard and efface all records for the given year".
As a result, the 2008-2009 competition can be declared as null and void and all details to be removed and subsequently deleted from all records.
A bit harsh i know, but rules are rules..
I agree, you also have my 'previous winner voting rights' vote on this motion as well.
Thanks
By the way, with the Ballack 9 that I lost (yes, still crying over spilt milk!!!) I would be joint second!
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Okay, okay, let's just take it easy for a minute. There's no need to invoke 12.3.1 just yet - there's plenty of time left for a spectacular collapse. If, with a week to go, the table looks as it does now, then 12.3.1 will be applied.
No need to panic, comrades.
Gamo tin manades sas.........
I sure that comment constitutes a 50 point penalty?
Mr. Smiley can you please oblige.....
....plus an additional 20 point penalty deduction for grammatical errors...
My mum reads this blog. And I can't delete your obscene comment.
God help you.
