There were mixed fortunes this week, with most managers either doing very well or very badly. I top scored - I was considering referring to myself in the 3rd person but then realised that it sounded ridiculous, so I'll do it like this from now on - with 14 points. Tim Cahill's return was a very pleasant surprise as was Carvalho's goal against Man City. Nick PC and Theo both scored a very respectable 13 - Nick's strong midfield (Arteta and Joe Cole) and Theo's investment in Adebayor yielding results.
Bottom of the pile this week was James, with 2. With Torres, Ashton, Ballack, Modric and Nasri all injured or off with injuries, and Alex and Dossena not playing, it's hardly surprising. Frustrating times.
So, here's the table after 4 weeks:
FFL 2008/09 LEAGUE TABLE | |||
Diff | Total Points | ||
1st | Nick Ath | 52 | |
3 | 2nd | Nick PC | 49 |
13 | 3rd | Sid | 39 |
16 | 4th | Don | 36 |
18 | 5th | James | 34 |
19 | 6th | Stathi | 33 |
20 | 7th | Mike | 32 |
21 | 8th | Theo | 31 |
Stathi made his 4th transfer of the season, buying Riera for Osman.
I made my 1st, selling Gutierrez and gambling on Walcott. Somebody had to do it.
That's all for another week folks.
Your Chairman

I haven't checked the details but if I was on 20 points last week and I scored 13 points this week then surely I should have more than the 31 points currently awarded me?
Nice to see people are paying attention this season. Your score from last week was wrong - you should have only had 7 points after I accidentally gave Luke Young extra points. It's all been rectified now. Still, you're only 5 points off 4th place.
