FFL Week 17

With the busy Christmas fixtures upon us, which will also mark the midway point of the season, a gap has opened up at the top.

Consistent points scoring is the key to FFL triumph and at this point yours truly is fortunate to have two players who are bang in form.

Both Lukaku and Mahrez are responsible for another double digit points week and winning the coveted Claudio “its now time to believe the impossible is possible” Ranieri award for team of the week thanks to a 15 point haul, 11 of those from Mahrez alone.

This is in contrast to Stathi and James who between them can only score a cumulative 7 points. Second placed James could only muster a miserly two points (this total is of course before Monday evening’s match) to see the gap at the top increase to 27 points and while Stathi scored 5 points he cannot make any headway towards top spot and is now 53 points away.

James's two points haul was, however, not enough to get him the bottom points prize which this week goes to Sid who collects the Louis “your time is up son” Van Gaal award for ‘scoring’ minus 3 points.

No other transfers to report and with the next results coming out after the Boxing Day fixtures, may I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Eat well, be happy and stop sticking pins in your Lukaku and Mahrez voodoo dolls!!

May the Force be with you…..always.
