FFL Week 32

And so it comes to pass? In the week where the country celebrated the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, the utterances of another famous orator may seem more apt. In those immortal words of Kenneth Wolstenholme:

“….they think it’s all over….”

Well it isn’t mathematically certain yet, but events at White Hart Lane last night would strongly suggest that the Premier League trophy will have a new name engraved on its base.

Leicester City? L E I C E S T E R. C I T Y. Beggars belief and is surely a triumph for the mediocrity that is this season’s Premier League. Exciting, yes, but lacking in quality surely? A debate for another time.

With only three match days to go, the 21st edition of the DYC sees the gap at the top increase to 50 but below top spot things took another turn this week as long time potential winner James, drops to fourth, quite apt for our Arsenal-loving friend.

Harry jumps into third, only eight points behind McNick, thanks to a stupendous 26 points but that is not enough to top score as Stathi accumulated an impressive 30 points to take this week’s Loopy Louis “it’s not all bad is it?” Van Gaal award for top score.

Sid and Theo share this week’s Roberto “I’ve got the players but not the plan” Martinez award for bottom scoring with a frankly shitness score of 7, akin to a Lukaku-esque first touch.

Transfers:

Only one to note.

McNick’s strange on-off love affair with Shaquiri seems to be off again.

And so to next week......
