Shame on Wenger. Shame on Van Gaal. Shame on Mourinho / Hiddink. Shame on Rodgers / Klopp. Shame on Pellegrini.
But well done Ranieri. A record breaker in his last two jobs; taking the top seed in a Euro qualifying tournament to bottom of the group and losing to the Faroe Islands along the way and then a year later taking a bunch of hitherto relative unknown, discarded and (perceived) washed up footballers to the league title. As James Greaves always said “…it’s a funny ‘ol game”
Congratulations also to Spurs for a wonderful season. I’m sure our Lillywhite contingent would’ve snapped the proverbial hand off were they told back in August (after defeat at Old Trafford) that they would be in with a chance of the title with three games to go. Impressive also given the age of the team too. The future looks bright.....
Furthermore, petty fighting, eye gouging, stamping and a wholly belligerent response to being wound up by King Cunts Messrs Terry, Costa, Ivanovic et al will surely stand them in good stead when they are in a similar position 12 months hence.
As for the rest a season of 'what might have been' or the 'usual shite' to quote the red half of North London.
And so to FFL matters.
Just as the real title race is over, the XXIst edition of the DYC seems far from over thanks to a leaky City defence and a return to prominence and point scoring by Tadic akin to Lazarus / Jesus proportions……by the way, Happy Easter to the Christian Orthodox subscribers among our flock.
McNick closes the gap at the top 42 and this is before the ‘Battle of Stamford Bridge’. Squeaky Bum time has arrived……
Top score this week and the Claudio “Dilly Ding, Dilly Dong” Ranieri award goes to Nick PC with 10 points. Bottom score is yours truly with a fat ZERO taking this week’s Manuel “I’m actually really a shit manager with a big cheque book” Pellegrini award for bottom score.
And so with two rounds left, it really is still up for grabs……..
