FFL Week 27

Only one game in week 27, but a significant one. Liverpool's five-goal thrashing of a depleted Swansea side (significanly, without Michu or Rangel) saw Rico snaffle 10 points and James 3. Also worth mentioning was Mike's timely acquisition of Coutinho, who promptly devilvered 3 points to his new owner. The table:

As already mentioned, Mike bought Coutinho for Sterling. And a transfer I forgot to report last week: James bought Kebe for Jarvis.

FFL Week 26

It's as we were a couple of months ago, with your humble chairman (YHC herewith) enjoying a lead of 30-plus at the top after an 18-pointer at the weekend, sharing the team-of-the-week accolade wiith Sid. Of the top pursuers, Rico managed a solitary point while James bagged just 6. Still, with 12 weeks to go, there's plenty of time for a charge.

Two transfers to report:

James finally loses patience with Torres, replacing him with Dzeko. He outbid YHC's offer of Berbatov. It's a wonder how Dzeko has remained in the pool for this long.

Harry hasn't given up hope yet either, getting rid of the costly Reid (who contributed -6 since being drafted) and picking up Bassong (who is, incidentally, the top-scoring centre-back at the moment). I sense the canaries' floodgates are about to open.

FFL WEEK 25

Most significant this week was perhaps not the stretching of your leader's margin (he top scored with 14 points), but the emergence of a new challenger. First it was Harry, then Rico, and now James, moving to withing 21 points of the top. With 105 points between them, Mata and Walcott are at the vanguard of the assault, providing almost half of James's score. The table looks like this:

I've conducted an audit of totals this week, so there may be a few discrepancies with last week's scores.

Predictably, there was a scramble for Sissoko, with Mike emerging on top by the narrowest of margins, £100k. Out goes Kagawa.

Stathi also makes a move, buying the previously released Cabaye for Ben Arfa.

On to the promise of another weekend...
