Having enjoyed the World Athletics Championships more than the football this past week please forgive the Track and Field references....

Three managers have made a Mo Farah-esque break to the front.

Sid currently occupies the Gold medal position, Theo the silver and James bronze

11 points separates the top three with a 7 point gap to fourth.

4th to 7th is separated by 8 points

Nick Ach and Don cast adrift like a non-Kenyan steeple chaser!

The 'Usain Bolt award for Manager of the Week' goes to James with 20 points.

The 'Katerina Johnson-Thompson flop of the week' goes to Don with zero points

FFL 2015/16 Week 1

Welcome one and all to the 21st edition of the Dwight Yorke Cup.

In an eventful first week of the season, goalkeepers took centre stage:

De Gea - will he stay or will he go?
Cech - will he save a shot?

We were also treated to plenty of television time for the lovely Eva Caneiro.

And so on to the scores for the first week:

Diff Total Points
  1st James 11
1 2nd Theo 10
5 3rd Stathis 6
6 4th Nick Ath 5
7 5th Sid 4
7 6th Don 4
7 7th Harry 4
8 8th Mike 3
15 9th Nick Ach -4

James takes the lead but it is early days yet and the points do not include City's 3-0 win over West Brom on Monday (positive attacking points as well as minus defender points!)

Rooted to the bottom with a Cech-esque performance is Nick PC with an abysmal -4 (MINUS 4) as EVERY defender that scored minus points. Surely a record? (add to that Chester's -2 from Monday!)

Champion Harry has had an unspectacular start to the defence of the title as he attempts to make history and retain the famous non-trophy for the first time ever - something Wenger has yet to do either!

One transfer this week -

SID
Howard OUT Romero IN
